George N. Landis RD MSc

George Landis is a clinical registered dietitian specialized in pediatric and adolescent obesity and metabolism. He is registered with the Health Care Professions Council UK since 2006 and he is a member of the Hellenic Dietetic and Nutrition Association. He received his BScHons with SRD in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Robert Gordon University, UK and his MSc in Bone Metabolic Diseases from the Medical School of Athens, Greece. George Landis has trained and worked in Manchester Royal Infirmary Children’s Hospital, Sedgefield PCT and London Hillingdon Hospital, NHS, UK, with main clinical experience in the nutritional management-therapy of metabolic syndrome, type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus and the nutritional support of patients with gastrointestinal disorders, pancreatitis and hepatic cirrhosis. In Greece, he has worked for the department of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes of the General Hospital Henry Dunant, and also as a lead dietitian of the nutritional support team for the Palladion Rehabilitation and Recovery Centre. The last eight years he has been working as a clinical fellow for the First Department of Pediatrics Athens Medical School division of Endocrinology and Diabetes and for the Centre of Adolescent Medicine, UNESCO Chair of Adolescent Health, of the “Aghia” Sofia Children Hospital. In the context of his cooperation he has worked as lead dietitian in the design and development of integrated care platforms for the prevention and management of chronic diseases with special interest in diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome. He  has been awarded twice with the «Maragos G.» prize of the Greek Society of Adolescent Medicine (G.S.A.M.).
