• The Unit mainly provides services related to its specialization that is the endocrine monitoring of adults and children. Among endocrine disorders and related to them health problems are thyroid disease, diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, adrenal and pituitary disorders, etc. [see relevant link]. To provide a healthcare to children, a special pediatric clinic operates under the supervision of the Scientific Coordinator, in cooperation with a group of endocrinologists and pediatricians.
• Hormone testing in our laboratory ensures results of a high- quality analysis and facilitates patients as they can also take the most important blood tests promptly and under a supervision of an attending physician.
• Nutritional assessment and monitoring contribute to the health maintenance of patients whose health problems are affected by the body mass index (BMI), that cause weight gain or loss or are accompanied with malabsorption. Also, as the patient reaches the ideal weight, it improves his physical wellness and self-esteem, while good nutrition brings positive effects in his mood, which is an important factor in the healing process.
• Mental health services ensure the mental stability of the patient with health disorders. It also helps patient to reduce stress and to adopt a healthy lifestyle as an emotional shield to manage with health issues and to live a normal life.
